MOE: FENG SHAN PRIMARY PLAY AREA
A voyage through our solar system in space.
Solar system-themed inspired elements used are key elements of design, enabling children to know and learn where our place in
space and the placements of the planets in a solar system. It is
designed to help them develop through play and learning.

water play area
Nearest to the entrance, the water play area is designed to help young childen develop and
strengthen their development from young. The design of the rubber flooring is to replicate the sun and the
other elements are to replicate the other surrounding planets (like the balancing beam) in the solar system.

Beside the water play area, we have the sand play that is partially sheltered by the tensiles.
The sand play was also designed to replicate the other planets in our solar system.

There is two parts to the sensory areas in this play area. We have the sensory path that is designed
to be like the phases of the moon. There are 8 different materials on the sensory path to allow young children to explore and experience the different textures.

The another part of the sensory path would be the mini maze that consists of musical instruments and
hanging stars on the trees. At the end of the maze, there is gardening spots to allow teachers and students to do gardening. Surrounding the sensory areas, there are herbs and spices to allow young children to explore and keep in touch with nature
